As a young Asian girl growing up in the United States, I learned that the company to attract almost everyone, apart from other Asian men. This marginalization of Asian men took place, in my opinion, for several reasons.

First, the media have never Asian men in a dominant role. He is always portrayed as nerds, geeks, geeks with no sense of himself and unable to attract women.

In other words, the media portrays Asian men as incapable and undesirable. Second, American society has many negative stereotypes about Asian men.

For these reasons, the Asian girl, and women in general in American society are taught to view Asian men as undesirable and feeble.

As you can see, this is the reason why Asian girls are at stake ... Asian women in our society because of their preparation as a whole does not prefer to date Asian men.

In a discussion about the classes I taught last year at the University of Bangkok, half of the Asian girls in the room said they prefer to date Asian men. In addition, any other girl in the class also agreed that they prefer not to date Asian men.

So if the girls in Asia has shown a tendency to date Asian men? Class Date Asia generally taught gave me two answers to this question.

The most obvious of which was white, because people around Bangkok and other cultural areas can most recognizable content.

The second most common reaction of the girls were Asian Indians (South Asians). When I asked the Asian girls because they preferred the two ethnic groups of men, their responses focused on two areas: economic status and physical attractiveness.

Regarding the economic situation, the girls from Asia, said that both white and black men in our society, regarded as successful, intelligent and confident. These are the characteristics values of the Asian community.

Then the girls from Asia said they found two groups of men physically attractive. When I asked why, I received mixed responses.

I think in this case is that both groups tend to have similar features Sharp (Greco-Roman nose or eyes) that the media tend to value.

Yeah, what the end result of all this? Asian girls are "in conflict" and was heavily damaged by Asian men. Asian men get the ax at two levels here.

First, they must be able to date their own kind (other Asian girls). At the same time, their types, an increasing rate, tends not to prefer sexually.

In conclusion, reached a conclusion. This is just my observation as a student teacher here at Berkeley.

However, I consider this information as interesting and useful. And I, as an American woman of Asian descent, to bring my account to see Asian men.
